FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We highly recommend securing a reservation prior to arrival. Our inventory is rented on a first come, first served basis. 

We recommend that customers arrive at least 20 minutes prior to their scheduled launch time. The check-in process includes validating booking and waiver status, assigning life vests and equipment, and answering any final questions guests may have. We also encourage guests to sign our online waiver before arrival to avoid lines on busy weekends. Each person launching from our site is required to have a signed waiver on file.

We recommend customers bring water, sunscreen/hat, snacks, and bug spray. Life jackets, whistles, and paddles are included in our rental packages. 

We have port-o-John’s available, but no changing facilities or lockers. We strongly suggest leaving all non-essential items and valuables at home. Dry bags are available to rent for phones, cameras, etc. 

We can accommodate large groups. Kayaking and paddle boarding are perfect for family reunions, school and youth group functions, and team-building events. Contact us for more info! 

Kayaking is safe for people of all skill levels, including beginners. Blue Heart Kayaking offers a knowledgeable staff and high-quality, well-maintained equipment.

Children 14 years of age and under are required to wear a Coast Guard approved and properly fitting life jacket when underway. Teens (15+) and adults are required to have a personal flotation device on board at all times. It is recommended that all passengers on boats wear life jackets. No. Our equipment is rented consecutively throughout the day. Please notify our staff during check-in if you would like to add additional time to your reservation. We may be able to accommodate your request based on equipment availability.  

We require a minimum of 24 hours notice when cancelling a reservation. Customers will be charged the full rental amount when cancelling within 24 hours of their scheduled launch time. 

Customers will be charged a fee if rental products are lost or damaged. The amount charged will depend on the item.

Yes, a shuttle service is available. Due to liability reasons, we do not shuttle personal equipment between our two rental locations. We recommend that one person in the group book the $10 shuttle option for a transfer from 1000 Springs to Blue Heart Kayaking. This individual will obtain their vehicle from Blue Heart Kayaking and return to 1000 Springs for the remaining members in their party and personal equipment.
